Meet Krista

The photographer behind the lens

Hi, I'm Krista — and if you're here, you probably care about holding onto the moments that matter most. Me too.

I picked up a camera years ago and fell in love with the way a photograph can stop time. I built a photography business, shot weddings and portraits, and then life did what life does — I went to college, got married, and became a mama. The camera got quieter for a while.

But here's what I didn't expect: stepping away made me a better photographer. Because now, when I'm behind the lens at your family session, I'm not just taking pictures. I'm a mom who knows how fast these years go.

My style is warm, natural, and true to color. I want your photos to look like your life actually looks — just with really, really good light.

Oh, and the name? "Lavender" isn't just a pretty word — it's my middle name. The Lavender Lens is personal because this work is personal.

What to expect when you book with me

Reach Out

Send me a message through my booking page. Tell me a little about your family, what kind of session you're dreaming of, and when works best for you. I'll get back to you within 24 hours.

Plan Together

We'll chat about location, timing, wardrobe, and what to expect on session day. I'll send you a prep guide with everything you need — including what to wear and how to get the kids ready (hint: snacks help).

Enjoy the Session

This is the fun part. I'll guide you through natural poses, but mostly we'll just hang out and let real moments happen. Your toddler might cry. That's okay — some of the best photos come right after.

Sneak Peeks

Within 48 hours, I'll share a few favorites to hold you over. These are the ones that'll make you text your mom immediately.

Your Gallery

Your full, edited gallery will be delivered through Pixieset within two weeks. Every image is warm, natural, and true to color — ready to print, share, and hang on your wall.

Prints & Products

Want to turn your favorites into wall art, albums, or gifts? I offer professional printing through my Pixieset shop so your photos don't just live on your phone.

Your toddler will probably cry at some point. That's okay. I've got patience, good timing, and a talent for catching the smile that comes right after.
